Program Overview
HomeRun Certified Inspections provides a Department of Defense SkillBridge training
program designed to transition Service Members into civilian careers as residential
home inspectors.
Training is conducted in-person at residential properties throughout the Kansas City
metropolitan area and emphasizes safety, technical inspection skills, and professional
reporting practices.

120-Day Training Program
- Orientation, safety procedures, PPE, ladder use
- Roofing and exterior systems
- Structural components
- Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Interiors, insulation, and ventilation
- Thermal imaging diagnostics
- Inspection report writing
- InterNACHI Entrance Examination (Required)
150-Day Training Program
- Extended repetition and field exposure
- Advanced defect recognition
- Reporting refinement
- Increased supervised inspections
- InterNACHI Entrance Examination (Required)
180-Day Training Program
- All 120- and 150-day training components
- Radon testing
- Sewer scope inspections
- Chimney scope inspections
- Water quality testing
- Mold and air quality fundamentals
- Mock inspection and final evaluation
- InterNACHI Entrance Examination (Required)
Completion Requirements
- Complete required coursework
- Pass InterNACHI Entrance Examination
- Participate in all assigned inspections
- Demonstrate professionalism and safety
